Why won't my fish eat?
Recently my dwarf gourami has gone on a hunger strike. Ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 15, pH 7.8, temperature 78... 55 gallon planted tank. Living with 3 juvenile angelfish and a school of 5 neon tetras. He'll just go hide under the heater and face the corner of the tank... it's been over a week he hasn't eaten. I offer frozen thawed bloodworms twice a day. What could the problem be? @ Pytr pytr He isn't overfed; there's a visible concave shape to his belly. It's obvious he isn't being overfed.

What will eat house mice?
We caught some mice in a sticky trap, a few hours later, the mouse was ripped to shreds by an animal. i once caught sight of this animal, which was large, brown, and extremely fast. It escapes all our traps, and takes the bait. The mice in the trap were alive and breathing a few minutes before it was ripped to shreds, leaving only fur and two hind feet behind. the mice we caught were reasonably large, around 6 inches (not including the tail) so it most be something large. We do not have any pets besides a turtle and some fish, which definitely did not kill them. we do NOT have a cat or a dog, and all of this has been happening in our garage, so any outside large animals like raccoons or cats cannot get in.

Christians, how Can You Defend it When You...?
Eat meat? Don't you realize that the meat industry not only kills tons of animals, but also thousands of people? That fishing liners take food out of the mouths of fisherman, who rely on fish as their sole source of protein? That by buying and being compliant to this industry, people in 3rd world countries go without food and work for slave wages sending food to our ANIMALS? How can you call yourself Christian, and also buy processed meats? Doesn't the Bible say, "Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble." Cor 8:13 Eating from the leading producers of meat causes your brother to stumble. Then why not buy veggies? 1 cup of beans has 20 grams of protein. A man only needs 56 grams a day. There's more protein in veggies. @ Boxcar: animals in slaughterhouses don't eat veggies, they eat mush after their teeth are knocked out. If a cow wanted to eat my grass I'm cool with that. @ Jerry: causing people to starve is not losing their grace? The meat you eat from the U.S. was fed from farms in 3rd world countries... more veggies we import go to livestock than to people. While these same farmers work for slave wages and send their children to beg. GREAT Christians here!! Great to see you care less than thousands are dying than debating scripture. Jesus doesn't want you in his flockkkk :) I can't see Jesus saying, "Well the meat is here, I don't care who it effects." The lack of empathy makes me embaressed for Jesus, who was a man of charity. Just by not eating meat or fish, people can have a chance in poor countries to feed themselves, rather than our ridiculous appetites and over bred livestock. @ BV: You see nothing inherently wrong with taking food from other people's mouths? Hmm. Somehow I think you haven't read the Bible too closely.
